Halo brings ghost-text autocomplete to every app on your Mac, not just one editor. As you type in Mail, Slack, your browser, or a message box, the rest of your sentence appears in faint grey text. Press Tab to take it, or keep typing and it quietly steps aside. Because the model runs on your Mac, nothing you write is sent to a server to make the suggestion.

It works system-wide, in native apps and the browser alike. There's no plugin to install per app and no window to open. Halo detects the field you're in and offers the completion right there.
Written in your voice
Suggestions are drawn from how you actually write and what Halo remembers of your context, so the ghost text sounds like you, not a generic assistant.
Tab to take it
One Tab accepts the suggestion. Keep typing and it gets out of the way instantly. A non-letter keystroke yields to a correction, so it never fights you.
Private by design.
Every keystroke and suggestion stays on your Mac. There is no cloud call in the loop, so your drafts, messages, and code never leave your machine. Password and payment fields are never read or completed.

Does Halo's autocomplete work in every app?
Yes. It works across native macOS apps and the browser, detecting the text field you're in. New apps generally work with no setup.
Is my typing sent to a server?
No. The autocomplete model runs on your Mac. Your text is never uploaded to generate a suggestion, and it works with Wi-Fi off.
How is this different from the autocomplete built into macOS?
System autocomplete predicts the next word or two from a dictionary. Halo predicts the rest of your sentence in your own voice, drawing on your context, anywhere you type.
Does it cost anything?
No. On-device autocomplete is free, forever. A Halo Cloud plan is optional and only for the heaviest work like long synthesis.
