Discord
Premium OAuth CommunicationPost updates to the channels you choose.
When you connect Discord, you pick a server and a channel, and that's exactly where Halo can post, nothing more. Ask it to share an update or a summary and it asks before posting. Connect again any time to add another channel.
One honest note: Discord doesn't let apps read your DMs or browse your servers, so Halo doesn't. This integration is send-only, by design and by Discord's rules.
Premium
A paid capability, part of a Halo plan. The free Mac app stays fully featured on its own.
Capabilities
What Halo does with it
With a Halo plan
- Posts messages to a channel you choose when you connect
- Asks before anything is posted
- Connect again to add more channels; each one is your explicit choice
How it connects
You authorize. Your Mac holds the key.
- 01
Set up Halo's own line
A quick one-time setup gives Halo a dedicated Apple ID, a private line that is just for talking to it. You make it once, the way you would any Apple ID.
- 02
Text it from your iPhone
Message that line from your iPhone like you would text a friend. Your Mac, signed in to the same line, receives it.
- 03
Your Mac answers
Halo reads the text on your Mac, thinks on your Mac, and texts you back. The whole exchange rides Apple's end-to-end-encrypted iMessage.
What stays private
Halo can only post to the exact channels you picked. It cannot read your DMs, your servers, or anything else on Discord. Posts go from your Mac to Discord directly.
