Once connected, your recent mail becomes searchable in Recall, so "what did the landlord say about the lease?" has an answer. Ask Halo to send or reply and the message goes out through your own server after you confirm, and replies land in the original thread, not as a new conversation.

Nothing to sign in to
Halo works with IMAP/SMTP - Any Email through the same built-in macOS capabilities Apple's own apps use. There's no account to connect and no key to store.

macOS asks first
The first time Halo needs access, macOS shows its own permission prompt. You decide, and you can revoke it any time in System Settings.

Nothing leaves your Mac
Reading, writing, and understanding all happen on your device. There is no server involved, not even ours.
What stays private
Your app password is stored in the macOS Keychain and never leaves this Mac. Halo talks to your mail server directly: no Halo server sits in the path, and nothing about your mail is uploaded. Disconnect any time and the stored password is removed.
