Text Halo from your phone

Premium Local Communication

Message your Mac's Halo from your iPhone, over your own iCloud.

Get the Halo app on your iPhone and sign it into the same iCloud as your Mac. Then message Halo from your phone the way you would text a friend, and the answer comes from the same companion on your Mac that already knows your day, your people, and what you were working on. No number to share and no recipient to type: the shared iCloud is the whole setup.

Ask it to remind you of something, pull up what was said in a meeting, or draft a reply while you are away from your desk. Halo reads your message on the Mac, works it out with the AI you have chosen, and sends the answer back to your phone. You can be anywhere; your Mac just needs to be awake and online.

Your message rides your own private iCloud. Apple relays it between your iPhone and the Mac running Halo, the same way your devices already sync, with no Halo server in that path. The Mac answers with the same AI you use everywhere else: its on-device model by default, or your cloud model if you have turned one on.

Premium

A paid capability, part of a Halo plan. The free Mac app stays fully featured on its own.

What Halo does with it

With a Halo plan

  • Text Halo from your iPhone and get an answer from your Mac
  • Ask it about your day, your people, and what you were last working on
  • Pulls from what Halo remembers, all kept on your Mac
  • Rides your own iCloud between your devices, with no Halo server relaying your messages
  • Works while you are away from your desk, as long as your Mac is on and online

How it connects

Built into your Mac.

  1. 01

    Set up Halo's own line

A quick one-time setup gives Halo a dedicated Apple ID, a private line that is just for talking to it. You make it once, the way you would any Apple ID.

  2. 02

    Text it from your iPhone

Message that line from your iPhone like you would text a friend. Your Mac, signed in to the same line, receives it.

  3. 03

    Your Mac answers

Halo reads the text on your Mac, thinks on your Mac, and texts you back. The whole exchange rides Apple's end-to-end-encrypted iMessage.

What stays private

Your messages travel over your own private iCloud, which Apple relays between your iPhone and the Mac running Halo, the same as your devices already sync, and never through a Halo server. The Mac draws on what it remembers and answers with whichever AI you have set up: fully on-device by default, or your cloud model if you have enabled one. We never see your iCloud.
