Documents

Local Productivity

Point Halo at a folder, find anything you've saved.

Pick a folder, your Documents, a case folder, a project directory, and Halo reads the files inside it into Recall: PDFs, Word docs, text, Markdown. "Find the lease I saved," "what was in that spec PDF," "the deposition notes," ask, and Halo surfaces it.

Local only and read only: Halo gets a security-scoped bookmark to the folder you choose, reads the files directly on your Mac, and never writes to them or uploads them.

Capabilities

What Halo does with it

How it connects

Built into your Mac.

  1. 01

    Nothing to sign in to

Halo works with Documents through the same built-in macOS capabilities Apple's own apps use. There's no account to connect and no key to store.

  2. 02

    macOS asks first

The first time Halo needs access, macOS shows its own permission prompt. You decide, and you can revoke it any time in System Settings.

  3. 03

    Nothing leaves your Mac

Reading, writing, and understanding all happen on your device. There is no server involved, not even ours.

What stays private

Read only and on-device. Halo holds a security-scoped bookmark to the one folder you pick, nothing outside it, reads the files locally, and never modifies or uploads them.
