Linear

Premium OAuth Developer

Issues created and tracked without leaving your flow.

"File that as a bug" mid-conversation becomes a real Linear issue. Halo creates it, links it, and confirms before anything is written. Paste an issue URL or identifier and it can add a comment for you, too.

Halo also keeps an eye on issues assigned to you and surfaces updates as they happen, and it remembers your issues locally so you can ask about them later without opening Linear.

Premium

A paid capability, part of a Halo plan. The free Mac app stays fully featured on its own.

What Halo does with it

With a Halo plan

  • Creates issues from a conversation, a meeting, or a passing thought
  • Adds comments to existing issues by URL or identifier
  • Watches issues assigned to you and surfaces updates
  • Remembers your issues locally, so you can ask about them later

How it connects

You authorize. Your Mac holds the key.

  1. 01

You authorize once, in your browser

Halo opens Linear's own sign-in page. You approve exactly what Halo is allowed to do, nothing more.

  2. 02

The key goes straight to your Mac

The access key is handed to the Halo app and stored in the macOS Keychain, encrypted on your device. It never sits in a browser tab.

  3. 03

Your Mac talks to Linear directly

Every request goes from your Mac to Linear. Halo's servers never sit in the middle. They never see your messages or your content.

What stays private

Your Linear key is stored in the macOS Keychain, and every request goes from your Mac to Linear directly. The issue memory Halo keeps lives on your Mac, where you can browse and delete it.
